Accidents and Diseases

ACCIDENTS AND DISEASES

Accidents and diseases are like flowers with a disgusting smell and an unbearable appearance. They are like branches and leaves of a tree that are clearly visible to the external eye. They grow on the human body that has roots as invisible as the underground roots of a real tree.

Just as the flowers and leaves grow on the branches and the branches on the tree trunk that depends on its invisible roots for its survival; your visible diseases and accidents grow on your body that is rooted in its invisible mind. The body is the outgrowth of the mind.

If you cut off a tree branch in order to solve the problem, three more will appear there and overwhelm you. So, unless you cut off the roots, your problem will persist. Likewise, you have to cleanse your mind clean before you can actually have a grip on the diseases and accidents in you life.

What is human mind?

Except for a few people like yogis, no one can ordinarily see the mind in the form of aura although it can be photographed with the help of Kirilian photography. Since it can be photographed and also seen, it has matter in it. The body is the gross mind and the mind is the subtle body. Both are matter.

Our mind is full of thoughts, feelings, emotions and attitudes. Without these, there is only consciousness which is energy with the capacity of knowing. So, the mind is that consciousness which has impurities in it. It is a disturbed consciousness like a pool of water in commotion.

If the mind is a forest, it has thought trees growing in it. No trees, no forest; and likewise, no thoughts no mind. The cessation of thoughts is the end of the mind and also the end of the body and its disease and accidents. It is as simple as that.
The types of diseases with their various names appear in our bodies precisely according to our various attitudes in our mind.
So, how can we drop the thoughts, feelings, emotions and attitudes so that we can get rid of diseases and accidents? Have you seen anyone in your life doing that? The answer to this is a single word called 'meditation'. You can learn this knack in order to go into that sate of no mind where there are no thoughts, feelings, emotions and attitudes. It is available to almost everyone of us; only the journey is a bit more arduous than going to the moon. There are rare people who have succeeded in stopping their brain waves to shut down their brain functioning completely defying clinical indications for short periods of time.

All negative attitudes are sins and there are no other sins apart from these. Diseases and accidents are the result as a punishment for these sins. You cannot sin and avoid punishment. That's a higher law much above your courts and legal system which are only a trifle.Even death cannot help you avoid this punishment.

Not all trees give the same fruit and at the same time. Some bring fruit in a couple of months, others take years and some don't yield even in your life time. But no sin will go unpunished. There is a famous saying that the wages of sin is death but this is only partly true. Death does not solve all your problems and so, suicide is an illusion. Paying for your sins and cessation of committing further sins is the only solution. Meditation is the path.

Our mind stores our sins in its conscious, subconscious or unconscious levels. Meditation is a journey into these deep levels to stop further accumulation of sins. As the store of sins becomes and also remains empty at last, no diseases or accidents can visit you. You are free, a liberated soul.

No disease or accident comes to you of its own. It was your choice made unconsciously in the past. Our nearsightedness of an ant does not allow us to see as far as an eagle sees and we don't know what sins we accumulated long ago in our long journey of consciousness. As we wake up through meditation, we stop calling bad names in pain even to inanimate objects when we hit our heads against them. Actually, we should be thankful to them that give us pain because one more sin has been paid for. But instead, we become angry and commit another sin to give further continuity to accidents and diseases. We got to wake up and see this cause and effect concept in action.
